Celebrating 5 years of ResponseTap

Here at ResponseTap we are proud to be celebrating our 5 year anniversary. Formed in early 2008, we set out as EncompassMedia before deciding on the name AdInsight. With only a handful of staff in a small office and plans for a market leading call analytics product, we were ready to realise our vision of joining up marketing to provide a unified view across multiple online and offline channels to provide greater intelligence for marketers.

Later on in 2008, after testing, our first call tracking product was released. Since then, ResponseTap has provided pioneering call tracking services offering marketing specialists the opportunity to understand which marketing campaigns drive offline phone calls to their businesses. In 2010 we launched our flagship product which seamlessly combines web analytics and call tracking to truly bridge the online offline divide. Existing clients include traditional and digital media agencies, directory companies and businesses of all sizes from SMEs through to large corporate clients. The product is scalable making it suitable for both small and large businesses. This is demonstrated by some of the big name companies we now have as clients which include What Car, British Gas, TUI Travel, Nuffield Health, Cox and Kings and Wickes.

2012 was one of the busiest and most exciting years; we received £1.6M investment ($2.6M) in a Series A round of venture capital funding from venture capital firm, Eden Ventures.  We moved into specially designed offices with enough space to accommodate the planned 150% increase in staffing and also opened an office in London to better serve our clients in the south of the UK.

Most significantly we re-branded the company from AdInsight to ResponseTap to ensure the company name better reflected the wider company vision; we focus on the responses from all marketing, not just a customer’s response to advertising. Finally we launched our call tracking technology in North America and Canada serviced from our New York office, representing the first step of our plans for international expansion.

Now in 2013 as we celebrate our 5 year anniversary with a BBQ for all our staff, we are looking forward to the imminent release of our call analytics product for networks (advertising and affiliate networks), called rtap-performance, as well as plans for an even more impressive next 5 years!
